· met with the Prime Minister on behalf of the Div’n 12 community
· organising volunteer workers to regenerate Burleigh Headland
· organising housing for the homeless who sleep on the Burleigh foreshore
· taking legal action on behalf of the Burleigh Heads community against Australand and the council over Australand’s very unpopular 15 storey development
· consulting with State Ministers at the Community Cabinet on Burleigh/ Gold Coast issues
· conduct popular public meetings every three months with speakers from council, governments and industry to speak on a large number of issues to inform the residents of Div’n 12
· fought with residents in Koala Park against proposed zoning regulations which would allow the raising of height limits in that area
· submitted plans for a tunnel for the Gold Coast Highway through Burleigh Heads
· have been involved in Clean Up Australia campaigns
· provided members to the Flood Mitigation Committee
· providing community input into the Foreshore Master Plan and the CIP for the CBD
· resolution to the footbridge issue between Honeyeater Drive and Galeen Drive, Burleigh Waters
· successfully negotiated with local councillor for seats for mothers in George St East park
· worked with local residents for the removal of chicanes in George St East and surrounding areas
· met with Mayor Baildon and Cr Drake for better outcomes for Div’n 12
· part of the community action group to save the Miami Bushland

· release of council meeting agendas to be publicly available at least one day before the council meeting, not 30 minutes before
· better landscaping between the Pacific Hwy and Burleigh Heads
· more parking in Burleigh Heads
· all future high rise development to satisfy 100% of parking requirements rather than the current 80%
· all future high rise to allocate 2 car parking spaces for all units with more than 1 bedroom
· all applications for relaxations of zoning laws to be put up on the council website
· many environmental issues in Div’n 12
· safety concerns, lighting and pathways for the Harrier Drive/Bermuda St area
· the retention Burleigh’s village character
· the raising of the Hinze Dam wall for flood control & water storage
· studies on desalination for the Gold Coast as it appears to be the best and cheapest option
· a tunnel through Surfers Paradise for through traffic
· a better transport plan for Burleigh Heads and the Gold Coast
