FOBA is a
group of residents, ratepayers & visitors concerned about
preserving Division 12's traditional
attributes:- family oriented living
- an environmentally
friendly community
- coastal holiday destination
It is the largest such organisation on the
Gold Coast and seeks to liaise with other community groups
and clubs, the Chamber of Commerce, local traders and government
representatives.

FOBA was formed to provide pertinent information to residents
and ratepayers, to seek their input on relevant issues and
to represent them at appropriate meetings and committees.
Residents and ratepayers don’t have the time (nor the
inclination) to attend weekly Council meetings, weekly Planning
Committee meetings and other relevant meetings organized
by Council or other parties. They don’t have time to
go through written information looking for issues that will
affect them locally.
So how can you get such information? One or two members of
the FOBA Committee attend such meetings on a weekly basis.
All issues of interest to the residents of Division
12 are noted and sent to FOBA members.
It is not huge volumes of information that members receive;
just enough so that they are aware of what’s being
planned for Division 12 before it happens rather than after.
To receive such information, send us an email or a letter
(see below for contact details) and we will send the information
to you on a regular basis. Emails are preferable but some
people don't use email.

To become a member of FOBA or to
renew your membership, please either:
- print & fill out the form ( membership.pdf
) and post it with a cheque or money order to our
post box address or
- email your name, address and phone number
to friendsofburleigh@yahoo.com.au
and deposit the membership
amount to BSB 034-238 Account # 165476 in any Westpac bank
or transfer the amount from your bank via internet banking.
Please email the amount and date of the deposit to us. If
deposited manually at a Westpac bank, keep your receipt
from the bank.
Membership is $10 (per person or per address,
$5 for pensioners) and/or a donation of any amount.
